Fannies On the Beach in Tybee Island

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We tried to go here for dinner one night while on vacation. We got there, the hostess at the front seated us at a table, and she said our server would be right with us. We then waited for OVER 30 MINUTES without even having our drink order taken. They were NOT busy at the time and there seemed to be plenty of staff walking around, so it was very unclear what the issue was. Three different times another server asked if anyone had helped us yet; we said no each time and the waitress would walk away. She never managed to make anything better, nor did she bother to offer to help us herself. We finally just left. It was terrible, and I will not be going back.

First time eating here. Awesome waiter!! Awesome food by far! BIG BIG variety of food. Loved it!!! Highly recommended!!!❤️❤️

Bacon and Scallops on a pizza, good oysters and fantastic frozen drinks. What's not to like?

We called 24 hours in advance to see if they could accommodate a group of 20 ( impromptu wedding). They said absolutely, explained it would have to be 2 tables and we should be there before 8:30. We arrived at 8:15 and were told that they were closed. We explained that we had called and they did not care. So , we had to wander around on Tybee Island with a hungry and unhappy bride.Poor management, poor communication. Poor guest services. Hostess was not nice.

Excellent beach side dining in a setting that is very relaxed and friendly. Moderate pricing for the location and style of food. Inside the restaurant is sort of dingy and almost rundown looking with peices of theme items everywhere. When that same element is take out to the balcony it is delightfully rustic and welcoming.

It must be delicious...the wait was 2 hours so we didnt get to try it. But, next time, we will get there early & give it a try!

I can't comment on the food because we were never seated. My partner and I went to the sign outside that said "Please wait to be seated". There was an older couple in front of us so we stood there and waited. We were never greeted. An older gentleman came up to the hostess standing outside and asked where he was on the list. What list? And then the hostess asks us if we are on the list, but when we said no, she didn't take our name to put on the list. And then a whole family comes up and they are seated before us. What the heck? There was a table open outside that we wanted but the couple in front of us still hadn't been seated and we were still not on this mysterious list. So we said screw it and went to a different place that offered much better service.

Hello this place was not a good experience first off they said we would be eating by 7:00 2 hours later and we just got seated. And the manager was rude and cussed out our group once we pointed this out and gave us very few tables for us. Overall the experience was not good I wish I could compliment the food but he asked us to leave when we noted the issues of his restaurant. And the safety during the COVID 19 pandemic was little too none with the masks barely covering the employees faces and no sanitation of the tables. Times like this makes me wish I could give zero stars the employees were bearable but the manager is a no go for me

Food was good. Fannie's is always busy, but we wanted to try the food. They did seem a bit disorganized with all the new covid restrictions. Other then that, the service was great, friendly and nice. Quick and hot food. The little sliders I got were so good.

I wish I could review the food.... but unfortunately I’ve never been able to actually get any. We planned to go for dinner but would’ve had to wait an hour despite many empty tables, so we decided to wait and try for lunch the next day. No big deal since it was dinner time and we could’ve waited. The next day we arrived only 15 minutes after they opened (on a Monday morning) and there was already a 45 minute wait, still with many empty tables staring right at us. So we decided to try the to-go ordering they offer instead. We waited in the line for 30+ minutes before we got to the window to order (mind you there was only 2 people in front of us in line the whole time!!!). When we finally got to the window we waited for about 5-10 minutes without being able to put an order in before we gave up and left again.

Good food. They need to open 100%. So, many people not going due to lines. Pick up is available but it's not the same.

Oh my goodness! FOOD IS FANTASTIC!HIGHLY recommend the scallop and bacon pizza!!

The online hours do not match the actual operation hours. Arrived just before 9 pm, after looking up business hours online that stated open until 10 pm and was informed they closed at 9 with a car full of hungry kids and had just driven from Springfield, Ga.

Had a fabulous meal. They initially told us we would have to wait an hour and a half for a table... We actually only waited 15 minutes which was even more awesome! What made our experience even more fabulous was our server. She was funny, cracked a few jokes with us and made some awesome recommendations on our food. Thanks Genah for the great service! You are a total gem. Keep up the great work and awesome service!We will definitely be back because of you and the great food!!!

It was absolutely awful!!! We were told 30 minutes and it took over an hour and a half. Our hostess told us a few more minutes, they’re cleaning of your table, multiple time and we finally gave up and left.

Food was great.. Tried to order online but site didn't work. Drove there and ordered at the window. Loooong wait. Paid, left tip, took food home... No dressing for the salad (ordered it on the side) and no blue cheese for the wings..... Ordered and confirmed both.....

Very tasty food! To Go window on the side for ordering and pickup if you’d rather not dine in. We got drinks while we waited. The Mahi Tacos were excellent!

Food was just ok. Four of our party's orders were not right. It took about 40 minutes after sitting down before our dinner order was taken. Our server was polite, maybe overworked (which I can understand given the pandemic and crowds on a weekend), but we still had 4 messed up orders and waited nearly an hour after sitting down at a table just to get out orders taken. Unfortunate.

The food was amazing... Usually dont like fish but the fish n chips were awesome.. been here 3 times now and it was amazing food every time. Try the pineapple drink as well... Its huge. Good food right on the beach.

We ate here and the food was delicious, as always. We had Genah as a waitress and she was AWESOME!!! She was very attentive and treated us amazing. Highly recommended!

Favorite restaurant on Tybee! Favorite sandwich in the world, the grilled chicken avacado. Soooooo gooood! I always stop here when I'm in this area, I just love it!

Great views, good service, mediocre food at best. If you want seafood go elsewhere!

All the people saying they got cold food and had a nightmare ordering online were right. Our pickup time was 45 minutes from our order time. My fiancée waited 15 min in line (only one line for pickup and new orders), and at 5 pm they told her it would be another 25 min. She asked if she’d have to wait through the whole line again, and the guy just shrugged. I went back for the new pickup time, and they couldn’t find the name under the one we wrote in online where it specifically asks who the order is for. They finally got it to me, and the food was cold and tacos were soggy. Shame, because I would have loved to keep coming back for drinks since it’s so close to the beach. The one taller gentlemen was polite, but that’s the only good thing that can be said.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are practicing social distancing so did have a little wait to be seated. Wait staff very friendly.

One of the best Bloody Mary's on Tybee! Definitely get a shrimp burger while you're there. I had never seen one before and it was great. The balcony has a GREAT view of the ocean and beach.

Horrible horrible service. Our waiter was extremely rude to the point that she was literally tossing things onto our table. I wish I would have checked the reviews before visiting this place, because the bad reviews are true. The shrimp was salty, the waffles were bland and the chips were burnt. The worst $102 I ever spent. There was a guy dressed in a black polo who brought out our appetizers. I believe he may have been the manager. He was super friendly and polite. The staff could really learn a lot from him when it comes to customer service. Don't waste your time or money.

Told we'd have to wait about an hour... turned into 2 hours. The hostess was super rude. The food was decent, but I would've rather spent that $75 somewhere else. Won't be going back.

Seating is near the road but separated from it by a large sidewalk which is nice. It allowed us to easily position a stroller while eating. Food is decent! The sweet plantains were great. They have a variety of food which is nice for groups.

Awesome place. We ate upstairs, the view is great. The waitress, Genah was pleasant, attentive (without being intrusive), and fast. The food and drinks were delicious. Definitely a great place to go.

The food is not good. The services and view is great! I asked for Mahi Mahi tacos. The fish is frozen and dry and the rice uncooked.

Or waitress was awesome (don't remember her name sorry!) Good was good the BBQ sauce was a little odd but other than that everything was good.

Oh, this place is AWESOME! The shrimp and fish combo is out of this world! My husband and I ate until we nearly popped! LOL! We will definitely be back here on our next anniversary trip. 🙂

The chicken and waffles we great! The staff was very attentive even though they were busy.

This was my first time here and while our server was very sweet ,the woman that was hosting the front door Continually was very rude to customers and at one point she came across as very discriminatory to a group of people. They weren’t being difficult or rude. They just asked a question and she told them to leave and not come back.

I wish I could rate the food or wait staff, but we did not even get the opportunity. The hostess was incredibly rude. She told us 15 minutes, which was fine. We waited. We watched a party of 5, who came after us, be seated first. We continued to wait. Each time to came out to get the name of a new party, she did not even take the time to acknowledge us or update our wait time. After 40 minutes, we left. (The table of girls sitting outside told us they had been there for an hour waiting on their food.)

Alisha is hands down the best waitress! Such a fun personality. She was on top of everything. Food was great!

The food was great and came out quickly. The views were beautiful, it was airy inside due to all of the windows and walls being open. We felt safe and comfortable and really enjoyed our meal. The prices weren't bad at all either and our server was friendly & helpful.

Just what you want and expect from a beach front eatery. Beach colors, beach creatures in the art work, and beach items on the menu. The shrimp burger was good and the fries even better. Parking across the street. Accessible.

FOOD IS NOT THAT GREAT. I had read reviews about everyone talking about this place and decided to give it a shot. I went there with 7 other people and we all got a variety of food (Seafood, salad,wings,burgers) and none of it was any better than what you get at a fast food joint. I got chicken and waffles and it was so dry I couldn't even eat half of it.

The most delicious food I have ever had. Seriously. I can’t explain it enough. Everything here is so good and made from scratch. The chips are even the best chips I’ve ever had.Drinks are strong and yummy. Service is quick and amazing. Staff is kind and knowledgeable about the island.If you don’t eat here you’re missing out!

Oh wow this place is amazing! The service is good and the food is great!That’s sarcasm, my family and my moms friends family waited 2 and a half hours to get to nowhere. They also treated us very rudely. Thank you for listening to my ted talk

I had the fried shrimp dinner and it was delicious. The hostess (Piper) is amazing. She was very sweet and kind. I personally think some of the staff could learn something from her. I would've waited for an hour to get a table but she got the okay to sit me at the bar. I would like to thank Piper for a good visit. I will come again!

Try the nachos! You won't be disappointed! The fried fish dinner was really good and the staff was really friendly!

Really good food. We ordered takeout for lunch and ate while hanging out on the beach. It’s was so good that we ordered takeout from there again that evening for supper. Had a burger for lunch and fried shrimp for Supper. Both were good.

Unless you want to be lied to and wait 2+ hours for a table I would save your money. My friends and I came to eat dinner as a bacherlotte party of 7 and was told it was going to be a 45-50 minute wait. It ended up being 2+ hours of waiting to where we finally said forget it, we watched people who were sitting outside wait for hours for their food. The lady at the front was rude to us as well. I would save your money and go somewhere else to eat. P.S. we put our name down at 7:20

Love the food and the atmosphere. We like to sit on either the second or third level so we can see the ocean.
